About the mockup tool

Is the mockup tool free?

Yes. The preview, the high-resolution mockup download and the digital proof are all free. There is no signup and no email gate on the download.

What logo file does it accept?

PNG, JPG or SVG. A PNG with a transparent background gives the cleanest result, but the tool knocks out a solid background automatically. For the printed order we adapt any file for print free, including PDF and vector files.

Is the mockup what the printed tape will look like?

It is a close, true-to-scale illustration, not final artwork. Before anything prints we send a hand-checked digital proof of your exact tape, and if the delivered tape does not match the proof you approved, we reprint it free.

What is the minimum order?

36 rolls of 2″ tape in 55 yd or 110 yd lengths. Most custom tape printers want 500 or more. Print setup is a one-time $349 at 36 rolls, $149 at 72, and free from 144 rolls up. It is never charged again on a reorder.

Can I get a physical sample roll?

No. Printed tape does not exist until a print cylinder is cut and a press is set up, so a single sample roll costs as much to make as a small order. The free mockup and the free digital proof take its place, and the first-order reprint guarantee covers the rest. Read what the tape is made of if you want the material details.
